Big Buck Taxidermy is a family-owned business run by two brothers, Pieter and John Kemp. At an early age the brothers were introduced to the beauty of nature, conservation, and selective hunting by their father, and their passion, enthusiasm and devotion eventually led them to the taxidermy industry. They have had the privilege of hunting in South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. They have hunted buffalo, elephant, lion, leopards, hippos and crocodiles, amongst others, giving them first hand background for reproducing life-like trophies of superior, world-class standards.Big Buck Taxidermy is committed to service and quality.

Their modern techniques and high standards enhance the production of top-class life-like trophies. Big Buck Taxidermy is able to offer forms in fibreglass and polyurethane foam that are designed and sculpted in our studios to our client’s specifications.

All trophies are mounted and sculptured on our premises and constant quality control is ensured throughout the process. The tanning of flat skins and the preparation of skins for mounting is done on our premises. Leather tanning is sent to specially selected tanneries.

We are meticulous when trophies are booked in. Big Buck Taxidermy realizes how important an excellent trophy is to a passionate hunter. Special attention is given to the smallest detail and our experienced staff members are trained to inspect each trophy received.

Big Buck Taxidermy specializes in full mount trophies, shoulder mount trophies, skull mounts, rug mounts of all species of big game and plains game. Big Buck also specializes in fish, birds and reptile trophies.

Shipping of trophies are done anywhere in the world. The crating is done on site while we ensure that the trophies are carefully packed and secured, with a final inspection. Big Buck Taxidermy handles all trophies in accordance with the South African Veterinary Regulations that are noted for their high standards.

We collect trophies from outfitters across South Africa. Please note we will require the Outfitter or Professional Hunters details to make arrangements to ensure the trophies are received and transported safely and legally to our premises. Big Buck Taxidermy also requires clients to give them written instructions regarding any special specifications regarding the mounting of the trophies.
